About Shannon
The Crossing Realms trilogy was a love letter to my teenage self, an homage to the escapist stories that kept me afloat when life threatened to drown me.
For my next book, I drew inspiration from folktales I adored as a child and my experiences as a Korean American. It's about daughters who defy their fathers to follow their hearts and seek the truth, who learn to own their powers and choose their destinies.
